Hey y'all!

One of the hottest trends this season is leopard print. Love it! Leopard print is so timeless and fabulous. Not ready to go all out? A great way to try out this trend is with accent pieces, like leopard print shoes, a scarf, a belt or a purse. I'm loving the new ideas of pairing the print with bright pieces and plaid. But beware, it can be ultra classy or ultra trashy...

Outlaw Cattle Kate

Hey Y'all!

This has been one wild week! We have had in tons of new arrivals! We had a few mini photo shoots this week featuring our new arrivals and a few of our favorite outfits. Tribal print has turned into a staple piece, and can be worn with almost anything. This print adds great depth and texture to any outfit. As you can see, this is one of our very favorite Fall trends of 2013.

Navajo Nellie Maxi Dress

This maxi dress is a beautiful shade of pale turquoise.  It is made from such soft fabric, y'all! We love it styled with a simple black cardi, so the dress does the talking. This dress would also be cute styled with a denim shirt.

This blog is named after famous Western Outlaw "Cattle Kate" 

Ellen Liddy Watson 

Also known as "Cattle Kate," this lady of the West made a name for herself in the late 1800s when she was in her mid-twenties. Watson worked as a cook in the Rawlins House hotel and there she met her true love, James Averell. The two were hanged in 1889 by vigilantes who claimed Averell and Watson were cattle rustlers, but it is now believed that their murder was unjustified, the result of an abuse of power by land and cattle owners.

Ozark Aventures 01

Hey y'all!

This time of the year is perfect to be getting out and enjoying the great outdoors. This weekend my husband and I visited War Eagle, Arkansas. We walked a couple of short trails and visited the War Eagle Cavern. The tour guide was wonderful, he had lots of facts and stories about the area and the cave.  He told of Native Americans and pointed out their cave art work and stories of the Civil War soldiers who camped there. No cavern in the hills is complete without a moonshiner story or two, he showed  us the part of the cavern moonshiners used to make their homemade alcohol and where it was hidden. We had a splendid time! After our cave tour, we headed over to Rogers and stopped at a fabulous antique mall. Here are some photos from there...Loving these booths!

We ended the day with some delicious fried chicken and caramel apples...the only way to do it in the South! The leaves will start changing in the next couple of weeks here in North West Arkansas, I'm excited to share some of those photos with y'all!

The Diamond of the West

Hey y'all!

Every Fall, I end up feeling a little Western inspired. I guess its all the rodeos going on, because  I totally love dressing up for them. This year Western styles and tribal print are hotter than ever, yay! All the more reasons to wear some of my favorite pieces! I am so obsessed with turquoise, and this season, it's everywhere! Bring on the turquoise, tribal print and fringe! Going to the Wild West, darling! :) During Fall, its so fun to dress like everyday is an adventure! Layers and accessories bring life to every outfit!

Falling in Love with Autumn

Hey y'all!

Fall is my very most favorite season of all! I can't get enough of the crisp air, changing leaves, hot chocolate and caramel apples! This time of year deep, rich, beautiful colors come to life! These rich colors are flattering on so many skin tones. Bring on the emerald, purples, & oranges!

The color of 2013 seems to still be Emerald. This color has stuck with us through Spring, Summer & now Autumn. Emerald is such a fabulous color I love it paired with orange, red, coral, purple and green!

A few of my favorite Autumn trends are: tribal print, denim shirts, loads of turquoise jewelry, and still lovin' chevron!
